The first session of the "International Accreditation Lecture Series" was held online on July 14, 2021. CHEN Song, Professor of Economics and Management, Tongji University School, AACAB accreditation instructor and former member of EPAS Accreditation Committee, gave a lecture themed on "Leveraging EQUIS Accreditation to Enhance the Impact of SOB". More than 60 teachers and students from SOB attended the lecture and had an in-depth exchange and discussion on EQUIS accreditation. The lecture was chaired by DING Hao, Vice Dean of SOB.

CHEN Song introduced EQUIS accreditation system fully from its ten major standards, functions, key points and elements. He noted that international accreditation could help SOB to ensure teaching quality and accelerate its development through improved management procedures and service function. He also recounted his own thinking and inspiration given his rich experience, the problems found in the accreditation guidance process, and the conclusions drawn from the exchanges with international experts. At the end of the lecture, DING Hao expressed his gratitude to the SOE, especially Professor CHEN Song for his help and support to SOB. He also appreciated the policy considerations of the SOE since the policy was formulated from scratch and optimized gradually. Combined with what Professor CHEN Song talked about, DING Hao focused on sharing his understanding of “global vision” with students, emphasizing that broadening global vision should not only rely on “eyes”, but also “heart” to explore and compare, and “brain” to summarize and think.
