During September 15-17, 2019, 2019 AACSB Annual International Accreditation Conference, which was hosted by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), was held in St. Antonio, Texas, U.S. Over 600 representatives from different institutions of China, Russia, Australia, America, Canada, France, Lebanon and other countries attended this conference. Prof. ZHU Wenzhong, Dean of SOB, GDUFS, and ZHANG Yue, teacher of E-Commerce Department and AACSB International Accreditation Director, on behalf of SOB, attended this conference. During the three-day conference, Nathalie Bouldoukian, Accreditation Coordinator of Lebanon's Holy Spirit University of Kaslik introduced the criteria and concrete requirements for accreditation application. Shetland Kovalenko, Vice Minister of Development, Graduate School of Economics and Management, Ural Federal University, Russia, added some precautions while applying for accreditation. CHEN Song, Deputy Party Secretary of Tongji University, delivered his report. Speakers from other countries and regions also gave their speeches. Delegates had a in-depth discussion concerning the topics. Prof. ZHU Wenzhong held conversations with Tom Robinson, Chairman and CEO of AACSB and Libyan Chen, AACSB Accreditation Manager of Asia Pacific Region over the accreditation application. On the afternoon of September 17, Prof. ZHU Wenzhong shared how SOB, GDUFS makes strategic planning and combines it with AACSB Accreditation System with deans of other Schools of Business at the Strategic Planning Workshop. This conference, learning from the experience of AACSB accredited institutions, marked another further step after SOB obtaining AACSB membership and attending Accreditation Workshop, learning from the experience of AACS. It will be of great help to further understand the latest accreditation standards, procedures, challenges and accreditation application for AACSB.
