From March 6 to 7, 2023, the 20th AMBA & BGA Capacity Building Workshop for Business School was successfully held in Shanghai. This meeting was also one of the series of events for the 20th anniversary of the Shanghai University MBA. Themed “Best Practices and Capacity Building Strategies for Business Schools,” the workshop was attended by over 200 participants, including more than 70 deans and associate deans from over 80 business schools across the country. DING Hao, Associate Dean, and Professor ZHU Wenzhong from School of Business (SoB) were invited to attend. During the “Best Practices Roundtable Discussion” session of the workshop, DING Hao shared with the participants the experience of SoB of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) in winning the AMBA & BGA Global Business Education Excellence Gold Award. He emphasized SoB’s constructed system of “Best Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Initiatives” covering national-level courses, high-quality textbooks, high-level research, and high-level services, and introduced SoB’s educational philosophy of “Global Vision, Chinese Way of Business”, as well as the characteristic practices in cultivating international high-quality talents. The AMBA & BGA Capacity Building Workshop for Chinese Business School is a regional series of seminars aimed at supporting business schools in continuous improvement. It has become a high-end platform for member institutions to understand accreditation trends, exchange accreditation experiences, and share best practices.
