From November 22 to 24, 2022, GDUFS carried out a three-day EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) international re-accreditation review for the Bachelor of Business Administration program. The accreditation review panel was presided over by Professor Nevenka Cavlek of the Faculty of Economics & Business at the University of Zagreb, and consisted of Professor Rogier Busser, Dean of the Amsterdam School of International Business; Dr. Susan Smith, Associate Dean of the University of Sussex Business School; and Associate Professor Christian Kahl of the School of Economics and Management, Beijing Jiaotong University. SHI Youqi, Chairperson and President of GDUFS; Vice Presidents LIU Jianda and HE Chuantian; former Dean of SoB ZHU Wenzhong; Chairperson of SoB XIAO Ximing; Executive Dean YUAN Denghua; as well as over 50 faculty, students, alumni, and employer representatives participated in the review. Due to the pandemic, this accreditation review was conducted in a hybrid online and offline format.
In recent years, SoB has adhered to a development path of “relying on accreditation, promoting construction by evaluation, and promoting connotative development and continuous improvement with international characteristics.” In 2015, SoB obtained AMBA international accreditation for the first time (and achieved re-accreditation in 2018 and 2021), and in 2020, it obtained EPAS accreditation, becoming the 3rd university business school in mainland China and the 90th globally to receive that accreditation (also the only business school in the Chinese mainland whose undergraduate program achieved that accreditation). Furthermore, SoB obtained BGA Gold Accreditation in 2021. Moving forward, SoB will uphold the mission of “cultivating international business talents with high quality,” practice the vision of “becoming a high-level business school with distinctive international characteristics,” continuously enhance the reputation and influence of GDUFS’s business education, and persistently improve the quality of talent cultivation, thus contributing to GDUFS’s development as a high-level institution.
