Recruitment Guidelines for 2025 Postdoctoral Fellows at School of Business

I. Requirements

1. Applicants must comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, possess strong political integrity and ethical standards, and have no record of academic misconduct.

2. Applicants should have a solid theoretical foundation and professional knowledge, with strong research capabilities and team collaboration skills.

3. Candidates must not be currently employed, should have obtained a doctoral degree or a certificate confirming the awarding of a doctoral degree, with the degree awarded within the past 3 years; and are generally under 35 years of age.

4. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, capable of full-time postdoctoral research, and have their personnel files transferred to the postdoctoral research station.

5. Faculty postdoctoral fellows should be outstanding young PhDs from high-level universities domestically or abroad, meeting the entry requirements for research postdoctoral positions, with prior achievements satisfying the standards for faculty postdoctoral enrollment.

II. Salary and benefits

1. Salary

Research postdoctoral researchers receive an annual salary starting from RMB 180,000, while faculty postdoctoral researchers receive RMB 300,000 per year. During their tenure, high-level achievements published under the name of GDUFS are eligible for additional research incentives in accordance with university regulations.

2. Project funding

Postdoctoral researchers may apply for various funding programs, including the Guangdong Special Support Plan for Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talents, the International Training Program for Outstanding Young Researchers, “Pearl River Talent Plan” in Guangdong Province for Introducing Overseas Young Talents, the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talent, the Hong Kong Scholars Program, the International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship Program, the Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation, as well as other national or Guangdong provincial funding programs, with corresponding benefits provided according to the selected projects.

3. Other benefits:

(1) Postdoctoral fellows meeting the university’s temporary housing regulations will be provided with university housing (rent paid according to university rules). If university housing is insufficient, researchers may rent privately. Rental expenses can be reimbursed (including tax) upon submission of invoices or rental agreements, with a maximum reimbursement of RMB 3,000 per month;

(2) The university provides social insurance and contributes to the housing provident fund for postdoctoral fellows (the university’s contribution is paid from university funds and is not included in the postdoctoral salary);

(3) Children of postdoctoral fellows may enroll in GDUFS kindergarten and affiliated primary and secondary schools according to relevant regulations;

(4) Postdoctoral fellows are eligible to apply for professional titles;

(5) Other benefits follow those provided to faculty and staff under government-affiliated institution staffing;

(6) Faculty postdoctoral fellows may be given priority when applying for corresponding talent positions at the university upon completion of their postdoctoral tenure.
