01 Introduction to the specialization
BBA in Human Resource Management is a national first-class undergraduate specialization construction site and a key specialization in Guangdong Province. The specialization aims to serve the Belt and Road initiative and the construction of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area, promote the deep integration of specialization and foreign languages, and cultivate “double high” (high ideological quality, high professional level), “two strong” (strong intercultural communication ability, strong practical innovation ability) of international human resource management talents.

02 Specialization Features
l Driven by double standards, follow the international practice. The specialization combines the construction of national standards and EPAS international certification to build a teaching quality standard and guarantee system that is in line with global standards.
l Integration of science and education, innovation model. The specialization fully implements the "undergraduate tutor" system and forms the four-in-one training model of “specialization + foreign languages + practice + literacy”.
l Full credit, dual-track teaching. A full credit system is implemented and “dual-track” teaching mode is adopted, with professional foundation courses, professional compulsory courses and some professional elective courses in Chinese and full English (bilingual) offered in parallel.
l Domestic and foreign cooperation for strengthening practice. Carry out inter-university cooperation in sharing courses with foreign top universities, school-enterprise cooperation in developing courses with domestic famous enterprises, and establish overseas shared internship bases.
All professional core courses are taught bilingually in English and Chinese. The core courses include human resource management, organizational behavior, labor economics, intercultural communication, job analysis and organizational design, compensation management, payment management, employee recruitment and assessment, training and developing the workforce, labor relations management, international human resource management, human resource business partner (HRBP), human resources innovation and entrepreneurship, and talent service science, etc.
03 Faculty
The specialization has a high-level and international faculty team. There are eight professors, four associate professors and five lecturers, including a permanent foreign professor and a foreign associate professor. 88% of the teachers have obtained doctoral degrees, and all have international exchange and cooperation experience.

04 Research results
The specialization has international human resource management as its core feature, and some of its research fields are at the international frontier and domestic leading level. In recent years, the research team has hosted eight projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, four projects of National Social Science Foundation of China, six projects of Humanities and Social Science Foundation of Ministry of Education, and more than 20 provincial research projects. The specialization has published more than 20 high-quality papers in international SSCI and more than 100 papers in CSSCI.
The specialization has published nine textbooks in the series of “21st Century Excellence in Human Resource Management and Services” (Tsinghua University Press) and developed three courses in cooperation with enterprises, including “Human Resource Management” (in cooperation with Tencent Human Resources Department), “Payment management (in cooperation with Oracle (China) Software Systems Co., Ltd.) and “Staff Recruitment and Allocation” (in cooperation with Wuma (Tianjin) International Trade Co., Ltd). Among them, Talent Service Science was awarded the second prize of Guangdong Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award in 2019.
In 2020, the practical teaching base for BBA in Human Resource Management students of Guangdong Human Resource Research Association were awarded the project of teaching quality and teaching reform project of undergraduate colleges and universities in Guangdong Province.

05 International Exchange
The specialization has established exchange and cooperation with 39 foreign institutions such as University of Queensland (Australia), Carey Business School of Arizona State University (ASU), University of California, Riverside (UCR), EM Grenoble (France), Stony Brook University (New York State), Lancaster University (UK), University of Santo Tomas (Chile), Northeast Asia Logistics Institute of Central University (Korea), University of Maryland (USA), University of Wisconsin-Stoke (USA), etc. It has also carried out programs including inviting foreign experts to five lessons, “2+2” or “3+1” undergraduate dual-degree training for undergraduates, “3+2” integration of undergraduate and graduate education, joint master’s degree program (MBA1+1 dual degree program, MBA exchange program and international governance master’s degree program), summer school, overseas study tour, research cooperation, faculty exchange, student exchange, and joint academic conferences.

06 Activities
The college actively organizes students to carry out and participate in various forms of ideological education, academic science and technology innovation, social practice culture, sports and other activities, and has produced remarkable results of more than 100 national and 200 provincial awards in various competitions.
BBA in Human Resources Management holds alumni sharing sessions, where alumni and teachers had a professional construction talk and had an in-depth exchange on topics such as training objectives, curriculum system, internship practice, and all-English teaching of Human Resources Management specialization. In 2018, two teams from the School of Business won the second and third prizes in the Mathematical Modeling Competition/Interdisciplinary Modeling Competition (MCM/ICM). During their time on campus, students in this specialization are also actively involved in various campus activities.

07 Employment
The employment rate of the last three batches of graduates of this specialization is 100%. Graduates are mainly employed in multinational companies and foreign-related enterprises with a high degree of professional matching. They mainly hold positions in human resource management and human resource service. 90.75% of the graduates are employed in Guangdong Province, of which 82% are employed in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Greater Bay Area. The main places of employment outside Guangdong province are Beijing, Shanghai and Zhejiang. The proportion of graduates pursuing master's degree is about 15%. The top three abilities of the graduates that employers satisfy most are their intercultural communication ability, communication ability and professional ability; the graduates themselves are confident most in their foreign language ability.
